So, this is really Monday's picture. And it isn't even that good of a picture, at that. Yep, it's another lazy portrait. Didn't I say at the beginning that there might be more of these? *cringes* I was hoping it wouldn't happen, but Monday ended up being a drastically different day than I had originally planned. In between editing pictures (soooo many pictures I have to show you all!!!), going to co-teach a drama class with a few hour notice (so exciting!!!), and cleaning the bathroom, the "posed" photo just didn't get taken. But I did get this. I've been trying much harder in the last couple months to
capture moments, not random objects, and as a result, I have been taking lots of photos of the little things in every day life. And, just as an aside, it has given me a completely new insight into what seems to be mundane, to find joy and laughter in the crazy things that might otherwise annoy me. Like this. Instead of cleaning the bathroom all by myself, I decided to teach my younger brother how to do it, and our wet shirts are the result. I can't remember who handed it to who, but both of us thought the other one was holding the shower head (it's one with a cord so it can move around), and we both ended up letting go. Well, just like a hose, a shower head that is streaming water will swing itself around when not held in place. I think the whole bathroom was clean by the time we got it turned off. And I don't think I have laughed that hard in a very long time. So, while the picture really isn't that good, and maybe doesn't count as self-portraiture in the technical sense, I like it. It's a moment I never want to forget.
